December 2019
We had our annual holiday party at the Boulevard Bar and Grill, as usual. We keep going back there because of how well they treat us! We have a private room and great service, all at a reasonable price.
November 2019
This was our last meeting of 2019, as December will bring our holiday party instead. As always, the meeting was fun, full of chatter and lovely show and tell, followed by a really interesting demo of half-rectangle blocks made with the Bloc-Loc rulers and done by Linda Williams.
October 2019
We didn't meet in September, since so many of our members were planning to head out early to the retreat. However, October brought lots of show and tell, as well as a wonderful demo on a different method of making hexagon blocks! Sign-ups and payment for our holiday party are due to Janice by the November meeting. We also had an update on this year's raffle basket, chaired by Linda Williams. She provided a list of items that will be accepted; all fabrics should be unwashed:
1/2-yard cuts of black/white
1/2-yard cuts in white/cream tone-on-tone 1/2-yard cuts batiks 1/2-yard cuts florals 1/2-yard cuts patriotic fabrics 1/2-yard cuts holiday fabrics FQ polka dots fabric panels (holiday, children's prints) charm packs Steam-a-Seam rotary blades machine needles |

August 2019
We had a day of working on pillowcases for Ryan's Case for Smiles, and lots of the cases were added to the supply to be donated! Show and Tell was, as always lots of fun, and we'll have to enjoy it for a bit longer than usual, since there will not be a meeting in September. The DQN Retreat begins the evening of our meeting date, and many of the group will be leaving to get there and get settled early.
July 2019
Judy was unable to be at the meeting, but Linda very capably filled her shoes. As always, we had a wonderful show & tell session, highlighted by a mother-daughter team, each with a project to share! Whenever Hinde volunteers to do a demo, we know we're in for a treat, since she's always so well prepared and informative.
June 2019
We had a fun meeting with a lovely "show and tell" of projects to illustrate Quilt Till You Wilt coming up in July.
May 2019
Sadly, I was away and couldn't attend the meeting, but the photos certainly indicate that a fun time was had by all!
March 2019
We enjoyed a lot of social time prior to the beginning of the meeting and then had a great show and tell -- as always. After that, Sandy gave a brief demonstration on how to make a biscornu pin cushion.
